High Value PG

J.J. Barea, DAL at SA ($5,700): Barea had 33 fantasy points against the Spurs on Tuesday. He’s now catching them on a back-to-back and it’s possible that they rest a few players. Dennis Smith Jr. and Seth Curry remain out for the Mavericks, meaning Barea sees strong minutes off the bench. Yogi Ferrell had 32 fantasy points against the Spurs if you want to look towards him, but Barea has been more consistent throughout this season. ****

Ricky Rubio, UTA at CLE ($5,000): Rubio finally came to life a bit against Boston, collecting 39.75 fantasy points. At this point, he appears to be who he is in the Utah offense. He gets good looks from the field, but isn’t picking up assist like we’re used to seeing from him. He needs just 22.6 fantasy points to hit value, which should not be a problem. He’s been at that number or better in four of his last five. This is a tough matchup as the Cavaliers rank fourth against the position in their last 15 games. ***

Tyler Johnson, MIA vs LAC ($4,400): Johnson has been at value or better in four straight games, but is trending down. The Clippers are 18th against the position in their last 15 games. Johnson’s main value is tied to his ability to knockdown threes. Getting looks should not be a problem against the Clippers given their lack of perimeter defense throughout the season. He can chip in with rebounds as well. ****
