Dear Santa,

Thank you.

Last year, we asked you for some good luck and an easy schedule. You delivered. We will never doubt your existence again. You gave us the Browns and the Bengals to start the season, which were two guaranteed wins because we always beat the Bengals and everyone beats the Browns.

You gave us the Raiders without Derek Carr, the Dolphins without Jay Cutler, the Packers without Aaron Rodgers, and the Texans without Deshaun Watson. We’ve faced nothing but backup quarterbacks all season thanks to you. People might say that we’re lucky. We say that we’re smarter than everyone for writing you a Christmas letter last year.

Look at our final three games. An easy win at the Browns and then home games against the Luck-less Colts and the Bengals. That’s 3-0, 10-6 overall, and a trip to the playoffs. This would not have been possible if you didn’t grant our Christmas wish last year.

We’re not good. We knew we would not be good this year. But we didn’t have to be good. We just had to be healthy. All we had to do was make sure Joe Flacco didn’t suffer a season ending injury and Terrell Suggs didn’t get too banged up. Boom. Mission accomplished.
Take note, other organizations. Christmas wishes do come true. Bet you all wish you were smart enough to write Santa last year and wish for a little luck and an easy schedule. But you all wanted to get better. We never wanted to get better. We wanted everyone else to get worse.

Top gift choice: Continued luck
Second choice: Playoff luck

Signed, the Baltimore Ravens organization
