High Value PG

Tyler Johnson, MIA vs BKN ($5,900): Johnson has hit value in five straight contests. He’s missed value just one time since Dec. 3. After getting shredded by the Rajon Rondo and the Pelicans, the Nets can’t be feeling too good about their play against guards. In fact, they rank 28th against the position in their last 15 games. Most of his value is tied to scoring, but he can chip in with rebounds and assists. ****

George Hill, SAC vs PHO ($5,500): Hill had 36.9 fantasy points against the Suns on Dec. 12. He’s been solid since complaining about his playing time, seeing 25+ minutes every night and hitting value in six of his last seven games. The Suns and Kings have two of the worst defensives in the league, so naturally this will end up being a defensive slugfest. But if it goes as expected, Hill should put up good scoring and assist numbers along with a steal or two. ****

Rajon Rondo, NO vs DAL ($5,800): The talents of Rondo were on full display against the Nets, when he dished out 25 assists. Prior to that, he had missed value in four of his last five. The Mavericks are 24th against the position in their last 15 games. Rondo has played the Mavericks a few times since that disastrous playoff run, but this is his first time on a good team. Expect Rondo to have revenge on his mind against a rookie point guard and the Mavericks. ****
