The rivalry between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers went to a whole new level on Monday afternoon when the Chicago Tribune reported Aaron Rodgers is dating Danica Patrick.

Since the Green Bay Packers aren’t in the playoffs this year, all attention turns to the off-field drama surrounding quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his love life. It was revealed on Monday that Rodgers is dating Danica Patrick.

The love life for both of these professional sports stars is not uncommon. Rodgers personal life has been the subject of many headlines over the years due to his estranged relationship with his family and former relationship with actress Olivia Munn. Patrick who recently saw her five-year relationship end when fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had cold feet when it came to marriage. Less than a month after her breakup, Patrick is ready to find love again with Rodgers hoping he’s more than just a rebound.

I wish the two all the happiness in the world, but I think I’m the only Chicago Bears fan to feel that way based on the hilarious tweet sent out by the Chicago Tribune to announce this new couple.

The Tribune showed the rivalry between the Bears and Packers knows no bounds when it had the caption, “Racing driver and Bears fan Danica Patrick confirms she’s dating Bachelorette winner’s brother.”

Rodger’s brother Jordan Rodgers appeared on the show a few seasons back and is currently working for the SEC Network as a broadcaster.

This is as good as it gets and I hope the person responsible for crafting the tweet is noticed by his or her bosses. When social media branding is so important to developing and keeping an audience, this is a huge win for the Chicago Tribune who proved you don’t need to be cruel or malicious to have a little fun on social media.

Cheers to the young couple and hopefully next football season, Danica will have bragging rights over Rodgers because the Bears are due some good luck against the Packers, right?

One can only hope.
