NBA Power Rankings: The Heat are looking good
By Daniel Lewis
The Kings nearly had back-to-back wins, taking a three-point lead into the fourth quarter against the Spurs before Gregg Popovich’s squad won the final frame by 10 points. Willie Cauley-Stein had 22 points and nine rebounds, using his athleticism to have a big night over the veteran big Pau Gasol. An odd stat from this game was that the Kings had one blocked shot as a team — NBA teams are 17-43 this season when they finish with just one block.
The Kings ran out of gas on the second night of their back-to-back, losing 99-86 to the Lakers in Los Angeles. Zach Randolph had a tough game, missing 10 of his 12 field goal attempts with three turnovers, getting overwhelmed by Julius Randle and the other athletic Lakers bigs. Bogdan Bogdanovic had a nice game off the bench with 19 points and four assists, continuing to look more and more comfortable against NBA defenses.
