52. . . . Allen Robinson. 3. team

There’s no question wide receiver is the top need for the Ravens this offseason. The passing attack was abysmal, averaging a mere 189.4 yards per game. With one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league, that’s unacceptable. The Ravens are financially tied to Joe Flacco for at least two more seasons. Ozzie Newsome has failed to surround Flacco with adequate weapons in recent years but it’s never too late to start. Allen Robinson should be one of the top priorities this offseason.

Robinson is an interesting case. He broke onto the scene with a fantastic 2015 season and was expected to be one of Blake Bortles’ top weapons this year. Robinson’s season was cut short after he suffered a torn ACL in a Week 1 win over the Houston Texans. He’s just 24 years old with loads of potential but his return to the Jaguars is up in the air after a major knee injury. Robinson could be franchise tagged but that’s a risk the front office might not want to take. He’ll be a coveted free agent on the market and the Ravens would be a fantastic fit.

Signing Robinson would go against the grain when it comes to Ozzie Newsome’s free agency track record but that’s a good thing. The Ravens can’t simply rely on signing veteran free agents on the back-end of their careers. It’s like placing a small band-aid on a gigantic wound and the Ravens need to get younger at the position one way or another. Robinson is the big-play wide receiver Joe Flacco needs. He averages over 14 yards a catch and most importantly knows how to find the end zone.

Former first-round pick Breshad Perriman seems like a lost cause in Baltimore at this point and even if the Ravens address wide receiver in the draft, a proven free agent talent is a major need.
