DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 2, 2018
High Salary PG
Russell Westbrook, OKC vs NO ($11,600): The Thunder are on a back-to-back and in the middle of a five-game in seven-night stretch. But, according to Russell Westbrook, Russell Westbrook does not get tired. Plus, this matchup is too good to pass up on. The Pelicans are 22nd against the position in their last 15 games and their defense has gotten worse without DeMarcus Cousins. Westbrook should get his usual high number of points, rebounds, and assists. It will be up to the rest of the Thunder to catchup to his level. ****
Steph Curry, GS at SAC ($10,600): Curry turned in his worst game of the season against the Jazz, posting 23 fantasy points in that contest. There is zero chance he struggles from the field in the same manner on Friday. Not against the Kings, who are 30th against point guards in their last 15 games. Expect Curry to post a big bounce-back performance, likely ending up with 50 fantasy points, even if his minutes are limited in a potential blowout. *****
Donovan Mitchell, UTA at PHO ($7,800): Mitchell has been over value in three straight. He had 38.25 fantasy points in 26 minutes against the Warriors on Tuesday. He had 7.25 fantasy points against the Suns on Oct. 25, but that was when he was a rookie who had barely played a week of professional basketball. He’s now the leader of the Jazz and a strong Rookie of the Year candidate. This is a great matchup for Mitchell and one that he will certainly take advantage of. He needs 34.5 fantasy points to hit value on Friday. I like him to push 40 fantasy points and possibly go even higher. *****
