DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 2, 2018
High Value PG
Ricky Rubio, UTA at PHO ($6,200): I have a sinking feeling that this is the game where the bottom drops out on Rubio. He’s been over 30 fantasy points in his last three, including a 48.75 fantasy point effort against the Warriors on Thursday. But he’s had these goo stretches followed by dud games all season. The matchup is good. It’s the Suns for crying out loud. And his recent play is at a level is has not reached all season. But I’ve been burned by Rubio far too many times this year. All signs point to another strong effort. But don’t say that I didn’t warn you if he ends up with 15 fantasy points. **
Darren Collison, IND at CHA ($5,800): Collison has been over value in four of his last five. His one miss came against the Hornets on Monday, where he posted 27.25 fantasy points. His salary was higher in that matchup than it will be on Friday. He needs 25.7 fantasy points to hit value on Friday. I like that he’s had recent success against the Hornets and I like him on the road. He’s averaging four more fantasy points a game away from Indiana. I don’t know if he’ll be fueled by the current trade rumors, but it is something to keep in mind. ****
De’Aaron Fox, SAC vs GS ($5,900): Fox has been over value in five of his last six games. He had 20 fantasy points in 23 minutes against the Warriors on Nov. 27. He needs 26.1 fantasy points to hit value on Friday. I like the way Fox is playing right now and the Warriors defense can be hit-and-miss. While I expect this one to be a rout for the Warriors, Fox is the best perimeter option on the Kings. He should be able to rack up enough points and rebounds in this one to at least hit value. ***
