DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 7, 2018
High Salary PG
Chris Paul, HOU at MIA ($9,400): The Rockets are on a back-to-back and the Heat rank sixth against shooting guards in their last 15 games. Paul had 38.5 fantasy points against Houston on Jan. 22. All of those are signs that he won’t hit the 41.2 fantasy points he needs to reach value. But his role in the Houston offense always projects well for his value. He’s hit value in both back-to-back contests this season. Proceed with caution, but trust the Rockets system. ***
Goran Dragic, MIA vs HOU ($7,100): Dragic has been over value in his last two. The Rockets are on a back-to-back, which could be advantageous for the Heat on Wednesday. Dragic was unable to play in the January matchup between these two teams. He needs 31.7 fantasy points to reach value on Wednesday. The Rockets are fifth against the position in their last 15 games. The back-to-back projects well, but everything else is working against Dragic, including his inconsistencies this season. He can post a big game, but it will be an uphill battle. **
Ricky Rubio, UTA at MEM ($6,700): Rubio has 10-plus fantasy points over value in six straight. His salary is slowly starting to rise, but it’s not high enough to be a deterrent. Donovan Mitchell won’t struggle the same way he did on Monday, but Rubio has been great for weeks now, and until he slows down, you can add him to your fantasy team with confidence. The Grizzlies are on a back-to-back, which could lead to weary legs. ****
