5. The Warriors. Sort of.

The report is out there. LeBron would be willing to give the Warriors a meeting in July. It would take some financial flexibility from Golden State to sign James in the offseason, but this team is light years ahead of everyone for a reason. Not only have they already created the cap space for LeBron, they’ve already signed LeBron and won four of the next five titles. They lose in 2020 because it’s an election year and their “I’ll give anything for Donald Trump to lose the election” prayers are answered.

The Cavaliers decide they’re going to go ahead and trade James to the Warriors. Sort of.

He’s on the Warriors, right? He’s playing with Steph Curry, right? I fail to see what’s wrong with these deal.

Alright, so James definitely vetos this trade on the premise of “Curry isn’t that much of an upgrade over Isaiah Thomas.” You think he hates playing with 2018 Derrick Rose who still thinks he’s 2011 Derrick Rose? Imagine James next to a point guard who pulls up from half court for no reason other than he hits like 80 percent of those shots.

When sources close to LeBron said that he would be willing to meet with the Warriors, he probably didn’t envision taking all of the bad contracts from Cleveland with him. But he’s the reason Tristan Thompson is making $16 million a season. He should be forced to take Thompson with him wherever he goes.

Khloe too.
