Oklahoma has been really struggling lately. In fact, the Sooners have lost 6-of-8 games, going from 14-2 to 16-8 in the matter of a month. Trae Young can only carry this team so far and right now, it looks like it’s not any further than an average Big 12 team. The Sooners had a great start to the year, but it looks like the rest of the team is getting fatigued. The Sooners lost to West Virginia and at Iowa State last week and will just hold on to a spot in the rankings.

Yes, this Middle Tennessee team is peaking at the perfect time yet again. The Blue Raiders have been menaces in the NCAA Tournament over the years and they’re on pace to land a higher seed than in the previous two years — No. 15 and No. 12, respectively. Middle Tennessee was receiving votes in the AP Top 25 last week, but could just make it in this week after watching a handful of others receiving votes lose.

Arizona State has been back-and-forth between looking like a top national contender and middle-of-the Pac-12 team. The Sun Devils were ranked as high as No. 2 in the polls before losing 6-of-10 games. Since an upset loss at Washington, the Sun Devils have won three straight games, beating USC and UCLA in Week 14. They’ll be tested with another matchup against Arizona this week.

Winners of 11 games in a row, the New Mexico State Aggies have gone from uncertain bubble team to potential top-five seed. The Aggies lost to USC but have since reeled off 11 in a row and they’re still unbeaten in WAC play. No one looks to be hot on the Aggies’ heels in the conference title race as they’ve won a majority of their games by double figures.

Thanks to a number of losses from teams ranked No. 20 through No. 25, Michigan won’t suffer much of a drop in the new poll. The Wolverines were No. 20 last week before losing at Northwestern, struggling with the Wildcats for the second time this season. They then went to Wisconsin to play the struggling Badgers, but no win in Madison comes easy. The Wolverines didn’t get that memo, beating down the Badgers with ease.
