High Salary PG

Steph Curry, GS vs PHO ($10,200): Curry has missed value in six straight. Yet, due to the matchup, his salary has jumped to where he needs 43.9 fantasy points to reach value on Monday. You can’t afford to take on this much salary and not get 40 fantasy points from the Warriors guard. The Suns are the Suns and they have they worst defense in the league for a reason. That bodes well for Curry’s value, but his salary is a bit scary and his recent play is concerning as the Warriors sleepwalking until the All-Star break. He should be around value, but he could be under once again, either due to continued struggles or not enough playing time. ***

Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN vs LAC ($7,500): Dinwiddie has been over value in seven straight contests. D’Angelo Russell is looking healthier and played big minutes on Saturday against the Pelicans, but his return to form may help Dinwiddie more than hurt him as it gives him another scorer to play off of. He needs 32.3 fantasy points to reach value on Monday. Given the Clippers defense and the way Dinwiddie has been playing, he should be right around that number, especially since there is no guarantee that Russell is all the way back to form. ****

Elfrid Payton, PHO at GS ($7,500): Payton looked solid in his Phoenix debut, posting 36.7 fantasy points against the Nuggets. Devin Booker is currently listed as questionable. If he’s able to play, that could push Payton to the bench. He should still log 30-plus minutes, but there is no advantage to coming off the bench against the Warriors since they stagger their stars. The Warriors have been inconsistent defensively in recent weeks, opening up the opportunity for Payton to have a solid night. He had 35.3 fantasy points against the Warriors on Dec. 1 as a member of Orlando. ****
