FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – February 12, 2018
High Value PG
Ish Smith, DET vs NO ($6,000): Smith was a bust on Sunday, posting just 7.5 fantasy points against the Hawks. That’s concerning on the back-to-back, but the Pelicans defense is so bad that Smith has a great opportunity to bounce back. Smith had 27.2 fantasy points against New Orleans on Jan. 8. That number would put him over value on Monday. The Pelicans are 23rd against the position in their last 15 games. Sunday’s performance has me worried, but this is a greta matchup for him to bounce back. ***
Shelvin Mack, ORL at CHI ($5,500): Mack had 43.8 fantasy points against the Bucks on Saturday. D.J. Augustin had the big game on Thursday and it looks like a coin toss as to who will provide fantasy points between the two. Mack is the cheaper option, giving him a better chance to go over value and not hurting you as much if he’s the guy who doesn’t post the big numbers. The Bulls are 12th against point guards in their last 15 games. You may want to save money at this position and pair Mack with Augustin, picking up higher salary guys elsewhere. ****
Austin Rivers, LAC at BKN ($5,100): Rivers has been over value in his last two. He needs 22 fantasy points to reach value on Monday. He’s looked just fine coming off the injury and the more reps he gets, the better he should start performing. He’ll certainly get every opportunity to succeed given who coaches the team. The Nets are 22nd against the position in their last 15 games. Rivers should get you a minimum of 25 fantasy points in this one. ****
