College Basketball Bracketology is back, with our predictions and an early look at the 2018 March Madness bracket.

College Basketball Bracketology 101 is in session, with Selection Sunday less than a month away. The craziness of March Madness is already in full effect — with the Conference tournaments not even in session quite yet. Brackets across the globe will bust quickly, with no clear-cut favorites and the most balance we’ve seen in decades.

The team of the week:

Wichita State Shockers:

This time last week, the Cincinnati Bearcats maintained a stronghold on the American Athletic Conference crown — and a one seed for that matter. How things can change, and change quickly, with the Shockers now just one game behind Cincinnati in the AAC standings.

Wichita St. earned a tough road win in Cincinnati, with their first win on the road against a top-five ranked opponent since 1964 — ending Cincinnati’s 39-game home winning streak in the process. The final regular-season contest for both squads will feature a rematch in Koch Arena, for a (likely) winner takes all game for the AAC regular season crown. Don’t sleep on the Houston Cougars, either.

Super dud of the week:

Oklahoma Sooners

The struggles of Oklahoma and their star Trae Young continue, with the Sooners dropping their fifth game in a row. Things don’t get much easier when Oklahoma travels to Allen Fieldhouse to take on Kansas this coming week. For those of you who take a glass-full approach, it’s an opportunity for the Sooners to get a monster win and get back on the track.

Bracketology: February 19

On the bubble

Florida St.

St. Bonaventure

Last Four In:

Kansas St.

Boise St.

First Four Out:

Baylor

The Big 12 is unforgiving, knocking two Lone Star state schools out of the mix, for now. Both Baylor and Texas will have a plethora of opportunities to get back in the field and might be fighting with one another for one of the final spots on the bubble.

Let’s get right to the brackets and how each region breaks down, with a few surprises along the way. Keep in mind this is are not predictions for the NCAA tournament teams, but who we would pick if we were sitting with the elite come Selection Sunday. Bracketology is now in session!
