Olympics women’s hockey classification game, Switzerland vs Japan live stream: Watch online

Here’s how you can watch the Olympics women’s hockey fifth-place game between Switzerland and Japan via live stream 

The Olympics women’s hockey classification games are about to come to a close. Switzerland, coming off a 2-0 win over Korea, will face Japan, who beat Sweden 2-1 in overtime. These two teams are fighting not just for fifth place, but for a better IIHF ranking. This game will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 20, starting at 2:40 a.m. ET.

Switzerland is led by stellar teenager Alina Muller. This will be her final Olympics game before she heads to North America for college. For those who are interested, Muller will be attending Northeastern University in Massachusetts. She has six goals on the tournament, scoring in three of her four games. Korea was the first team in the Olympics to hold her off the scoresheet.

On the other side of the ice, Japan is coming off a significant overtime win over Sweden. No matter how they do in this game, it will be at least tied for their best finish at the Olympics. Japan finished sixth in 1998 and seventh in 2014. Women’s hockey is growing in Asia, and Japan’s pretty good proof of that.

Switzerland came into the 2018 Winter Olympics ranked sixth while Japan entered Pyeongchang ranked seventh. However, the Swiss did extremely well in Group B, going undefeated in the preliminary round. Though they did lose to the Olympic Athletes of Russia 6-2 in the medal round quarterfinals.

Expect Switzerland to win this one. They beat Japan earlier in the preliminary round 3-1. It should be a great game but expect the Swiss to come out on top thanks to their skill.
