Here’s how you can watch the bronze medal game of Olympics women’s hockey between Finland and the Olympic Athletes from Russia via live stream
Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Yes, even the Olympics women’s hockey tournament. A good sign the end of it is near is the bronze medal game is already upon us. On Tuesday, Feb. 20, Finland will take on the Olympic Athletes of Russia in the third-place game. The winner will join Team USA and Canada on the medal podium, though which order those two will be in is still up in the air.
The Olympic Athletes of Russia looked bad in the preliminary round, going winless. But they were able to advance to the semifinals of the medal round by beating Switzerland 6-2. A 5-0 loss to Canada ensured their spot in the third-place game. This is the first time a women’s hockey team from Russia will be in the bronze medal game, as their previous best finish was fifth (2002).
Meanwhile, Finland’s way to the bronze medal game has been equally tough. They emerged from Group A as the third-place team. A 7-2 win over Sweden in the quarterfinals put them in the semifinals against Team USA. After a 5-0 loss to them, they’ll face the Olympic Athletes of Russia hoping to bring home a medal. Finland has won two bronze medals in women’s hockey (1998 and 2010). They’re looking to win their third.
