Thunder at Kings live stream: How to watch online
By Kareem Gantt
The Thunder are searching for a way to be recognized as a legitimate title contender in a Western Conference that’s all about the Rockets and Warriors.
In some respects, you have to feel sorry for the Oklahoma City Thunder (33-26).
When the team’s front office brought in Paul George and Carmelo Anthony to team up with reigning league MVP Russell Westbrook, they had dreams of competing with the Golden State Warriors for NBA supremacy this season.
Instead, the Thunder are 12 games behind the Houston Rockets for first in the West, and if the playoffs started today, they wouldn’t even have home-court advantage. The Thunder have become the NBA’s version of the old saying; “when perception doesn’t equate to reality.”
OKC’s reality is marred by inconsistency.
They’ve had games where they’ve looked like a contender, such as their thumping of the then-struggling Cleveland Cavaliers on Jan. 20. Then, they’ve had losses that have completely boggled the minds of fans and pundits alike, such as a five-game stretch when they succumbed to the rebuilding Los Angeles Lakers, twice, with their lone win coming against the Golden State Warriors in Oakland.
If the Thunder doesn’t want to be seen as a second-round out when the playoffs roll around, Westbrook and his crew need to find more consistency, starting tonight, when they open up the second-half of their schedule against the lowly Sacramento Kings (18-39) in California’s capital city.

The Kings season has gone pretty much what many have expected it to go, bad.
Sacramento’s weird roster needs a lot of work this summer, but the one bright spot has been the growth of their star rookie, De’Aaron Fox, who should receive more playing time to further develop his game.
