DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – March 2, 2018
High Value PG
Ricky Rubio, UTA vs MIN ($5,900): After missing value in three straight, two of those were due to an injury, Rubio was over value on Monday with 28.75 fantasy points. The Jazz are well rested while the Timberwolves are on a back-to-back. Minnesota ranks 21st against the position in their last 15 games. Rubio struggled in the Nov. 13 game, posting just 4.5 fantasy points in that one. However, he had 44.25 fantasy points in the Oct. 20 meeting. Those games were months ago, but given the circumstances, he’ll be closer to the 44.25 fantasy point player than the 4.5 fantasy point player on Friday. ****
Emmanuel Mudiay, NY at LAC ($5,300): The Clippers are 23rd against point guards in their last 15 games. Mudiay has been over value in all three games as a starter in New York and is coming off a 40.5 fantasy point effort on Monday against the Warriors. Trey Burke has remained hot, but Mudiay’s lower salary and starting role project better for his value than Burke. He did have 21.5 fantasy points in 15 minutes as a member of the Nuggets against the Clippers on Jan. 17. Expect him to push 30 fantasy points on Friday. ****
D.J. Augustin, ORL vs DET ($4,700): Augustin has been over value in his last two games. He’s been solid as the starter since the deadline, going over value in five of seven contest. The Pistons are 20th against point guards in their last 15 games. Augustin needs 22 fantasy points to reach value on Friday. The matchup is good, his salary is low enough, and he’s played well enough as the starter to where he should be around 25 fantasy points in this contest. ***
