Round 4 – Pick 126

Christian Campbell, CB, Penn State

Atlanta has a pair of elite corners in Robert Alford and Desmond Trufant. The team even has solid depth behind them despite cutting ties with Jalen Collins. There is never enough corners on a team, especially in the NFC South.

Christian Campbell of Penn State would make an excellent addition to the already talented Falcons secondary. He struggled to get on the field at Penn State earlier in his career which makes him a bit of an enigma entering the draft process. His final season in Happy Valley was a good one with nine passes broken up and one interception.

Campbell is an athletic corner at 6-foot-1 with long arms. He would work well in a press scheme because he knows how to use that initial punch to keep receivers off their routes. Testing will be big for him. A knock on Campbell is that he lacks short area quickness, which could be dispelled with strong abilities at the combine.

He would give Atlanta an insurance policy if one of the top corners goes down with his length and ability to play on the outside. Campbell is a developmental prospect but has intriguing tools.
