29. player. 41. . F. Tulane. Melvin Frazier

Frazier scored 15 points in the first round of the AAC tournament, but his Green Wave lost. It’s been quite a while since basketball even just a single player) mattered at Tulane, but the potential for a great team like the Warriors to take him means New Orleanians will have someone to root for at the highest level.

Leaping and running are two of Frazier’s things by the looks of it, and he’s clearly worked hard on his game during three years at school. A massive leap in shooting efficiency from last season to this one has turned him into more a balanced 3-and-D player than what he was before, a sometimes-D player. Frazier shot 39 percent from distance this season, up 13 percent from last season. He also shot four percent better from the foul line.

Frazier’s offense is difficult to project — perhaps he would be best in a Rondae Hollis-Jefferson role as a screener who flies around the court and makes smart passes. It would certainly be smart for a team like Golden State to use his athleticism that way, but really Frazier should be playing the four, spacing the floor and dominating on D.
