3. Tyler Eifert

At the moment, the Seahawks offense is badly lacking on talent, outside of Russell Wilson and his top two (maybe three) wide receivers. They’re losing Jimmy Graham and likely Luke Willson, and they’re in the middle of a massive overhaul on both sides of the ball at this point.

Right now, the Seahawks have a big dilemma, and they need to decide if they want to revamp their offense or defense. It looks like they’re leaning towards the defensive side of the ball, with Richard Sherman likely out of Seattle, and Sheldon Richardson and Michael Bennett both already booted off the defensive line. While their defense is obviously important, I think they need to dive in and get a talented tight end like Tyler Eifert.

The team can’t forget their offense while they’re rebuilding, and they need some size at tight end to help balance things out with their receiving corps. They don’t have a lot of height with Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett leading the group, and Eifert would be the perfect change of pace in the offense. The one problem? He’ll likely be expensive this offseason.

Graham obviously isn’t worth the price in the Seahawks’ mind, and Eifert will likely cost some serious money, as well. There are plenty other options for the team to consider, and they may even wait a year or two and try to build their own star at the position. However, if they’re looking to properly utilize Wilson and his talents, they need to diversify this offense, and the former Cincinnati Bengals stud can do just that.
