Who is on Talking Dead tonight, April 1?
By Nir Regev
This week’s Talking Dead features The Walking Dead’s Pollyanna McIntosh (Jadis), comedian Ron Funches, and a surprise guest.
Actress Pollyanna McIntosh is back for her third appearance on Talking Dead to discuss her character Jadis capturing Negan. We see Jadis with Lucille in hand, dragging Negan in the trailer for this week’s Walking Dead episode. Joining McIntosh as a featured guest will be comedian Ron Funches in his second Talking Dead appearance.
Finally, we have a surprise mystery guest on this week’s Talking Dead… Meaning there’s a fair chance a character meets their end on this week’s Walking Dead episode. Usually surprise, mystery guests arrive on Talking Dead to discuss their character’s demise post-episode. Of course, it could also be a new character like Georgie. Jayne Atkinson of House of Cards fame, recently made her official debut on The Walking Dead. Surely, her Talking Dead debut is in the works any episode now.
You can write in questions for The Scavenger’s matriarch, the junkyard queen, over on Twitter. Host Chris Hardwick might just name your question live on the air.
Talking Ratings
McIntosh’s first appearance on the series along with fellow Walking Dead actors Cooper Andrews and Seth Gilliam received 4.05 million viewers according to TVByTheNumbers. Jadis’ second appearance took place in conjunction with The Walking Dead’s 100th episode and much of the cast (including past cast members joining). That episode received 4.90 million viewers.
Last week’s Talking Dead took a bit of a ratings dip with 1.60 million viewers. This will be McIntosh’s opportunity to show she brings in television ratings as the talk show’s headliner without the promoted support of more cast members (the mystery guest could be a cast member). Not only will we witness a character defining moment for Jadis on Walking Dead episode “Still Gotta Mean Something” but a potential career moment for McIntosh post-episode.
Next: Odds on who dies on tonight's The Walking Dead
High ratings with McIntosh at the forefront will open new doors and future acting role opportunities. As much as Talking Dead is a fun post-show for fans, there is also an exposure element. An opportunity for fans to engage with the cast and crew’s real personalities off the set.
