The WWE Draft and/or Superstar Shakeup has been must-see television the past two years, but will there be another one coming in 2018 after WrestleMania 34?

Over the past two years with the brand split in WWE, there have been many big moments that have defined the company. However, you’d be hard-pressed to find two moments that have made a lasting impression in the way that the 2016 WWE Draft and the 2017 Superstar Shakeup were able to.

Obviously there are different effects to some degree when it comes to the WWE Draft and the Superstar Shakeup. After all, the former is about choosing which superstars area heading to which brand just in a normal, draft-style format. Meanwhile, the latter is very literally just mixing things up for the sake of doing so, trying to add a little bit of anarchy to the system.

What can’t be denied in all of this is the fun that has been had by fans in watching everything unfold. From bickering about which superstars should have been drafted higher to talking about whether or not RAW or SmackDown Live won the draft, to seeing how some people are able to succeed on a new brand better than others, it’s all great fun for fans.

Because of that, there is undoubtedly a desire to see more of it going forward. Obviously the company needs to keep things fresh with how they approach it, but it would be great to see this be an annual thing to keep the company and stories and characters from getting stale. So then, will there be a 2018 WWE Draft?

At this point, a “draft” seems unlikely. However, another Superstar Shakeup is more likely than not going to happen. Given the success of last year, this would be a good way to go about piquing fan interest once again. As for when this will happen, the best guess would be around May when the WrestleMania hype has died down. Until then, though, fans should stay tuned.
