WWE WrestleMania 34 is set to take over New Orleans, LA on Sunday, April 8. Previewing and predicting the outcome for each match on the card.

It’s finally the time of year that every pro wrestling fan is waiting for. WWE WrestleMania 34 from the SuperDome in New Orleans, LA is upon us and it’s set to be, as expected, an incredible show. There are certainly big shoes to fill from the last time that Mania was in New Orleans, but this show has the potential to do so.

Fans will recall that the last WrestleMania show at the SuperDome was a monumental night in wrestling as a whole. The Undertaker saw his streak ended by Brock Lesnar in shocking fashion. Then there was also the official coronation of Daniel Bryan as he first defeated Triple H early in the night and then in the main event as he defeated Randy Orton and Batista in a triple threat match to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

It’s funny how wrestling comes full circle sometimes. Now, New Orleans and WrestleMania 34 will be where Bryan makes his in-ring return, it could be the last of Lesnar in the company before he heads back to UFC, and we’re still waiting to see if The Undertaker is going to take John Cena up on his challenge.

Of course, for the biggest show of the year, there is substantially more going on than just those three things. As such, we’ll go match-by-match through the card, previewing each bout and then making a prediction as to what will happen. Let’s start with the matches on the Kickoff Show and work our way up to the main event of WrestleMania 34.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (Kickoff Show)

Not that anyone would be busting down the gates in New Orleans to see the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in any case, but this really seems like a time-filler on the Kickoff Show as it stands. When you look at the list of announced entrants into the match, it very much feels like a group of guys that the company wanted to squeeze onto the card for a payday, but that really don’t have anything going on. That’s not exactly a great way to build any kind of anticipation for the match.

Of those that have been announced to this point, there really aren’t any obvious winners. You could make an argument for someone like Dolph Ziggler to give him a pseudo-Mania moment. Meanwhile, you could see the company try to give Baron Corbin another win, or give a little bit of a push to guys like Tye Dillinger. However, all of this seems a bit lackluster for WrestleMania 34. That’s why I think the most logical choice here is to have a surprise entrant win it. Specifically, to have Big Cass return and win it.

We haven’t seen Big Cass in action since late July of last year after he suffered a torn ACL in a match. At the time, he was given a nine-month recovery window. And while it’s been just over eight months since the injury occurred, we all know how WWE injury timetables can be a bit exaggerated. Thus, it would make sense to have him come out, keep the tradition of big-guy winners alive, and give him a little bit of a push upon his return.

Prediction: Big Cass returns, wins
