1. They are the NHL’s hottest team heading into the playoffs

Another similarity to the 2016 Pittsburgh Penguins, who were eventually crowned champions, the Jets are the hottest team heading into the playoffs.

The Jets are 9-1-0 in their past 10 games, beating notable playoff teams Toronto, Boston, Nashville, Los Angeles and Anaheim.

Over their last 10 games, the soaring Jets have outscored teams 39-31. Over this 10-game stand, the Jets have also won every game that has been stretched to extra time, proving they still have gas in the tank when it matters most.
