2. Ronda Rousey’s WWE debut

For anyone that had any doubts about how Ronda Rousey would fare in a WWE ring, all you needed to see was the first 10 seconds of her actually in the ring with Stephanie McMahon and you’d know she’s a star in the making.

There’s always some concern about fresh blood in WWE matches, but we’ve been treated to some real athletes over the last few years with the likes of Rousey and even Arrow‘s Stephen Amell. Rousey showed that she belongs right away with her speed, grappling and overall great look for a woman in this business.

Right off the bat, Rousey showcased some respect for WWE history with her ring attire inspired by “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. While she unfortunately didn’t stick with the kilt for the match itself, it was good enough that she had it in her entrance.

The best part of the match though was Rousey’s first in-ring action, when she sprung right into the fray when Kurt Angle tagged her into the match to face off with McMahon.

In the end, Rousey and Angle came out on top after Rousey tapped out McMahon, as expected. However, the match itself was something no one could really expect going into the event. Rousey took her fair share of bumps for her first match in a WWE ring and had the immediate ring presence under the WrestleMania spotlight.

A lot of people will now look to the future for Rousey’s WWE career, but no one should forget how great this moment was on Sunday night.
