UCLA. Josh Rosen. 3. player. 30. . Quarterback

The New York Jets traded up to get the No. 3 pick, so you can be sure they are going to spend the selection on a quarterback. With Josh Allen and Sam Darnold going 1-2 in this mock draft, the Jets will land Josh Rosen from UCLA. Some believe Rosen is the best pure quarterback in this draft class, and judging by his physical talents, that is hard to argue.

Rosen has come under fire during the NFL Draft season due to the fact he has outside interests other than football. Still, that is not going to keep him from going in the top-5, and it may actually help him deal with the pressure of being a New York quarterback. If he lands with the Jets, the team will finally have the franchise quarterback they have not had since the likes of Joe Namath.

The Jets upgraded their secondary during the 2017 NFL Draft, and their defense should be solid next season. They played better than advertised last season, and veteran quarterback Josh McCown had a career year. Rosen may sit a year behind McCown, who was re-signed for 2018, but he would definitely take over in a full-time role in 2019.
