The Nashville Predators take on the Colorado Avalanche in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup quarterfinals series.

The games in this series between the Nashville Predators and Colorado Avalanche have been pretty close. The Avalanche have potential to be dangerous on their home ice — their numbers go up in almost every category when they are on their home ice.

Colorado has been a challenge for Nashville in all three of the previous games. The Avalanche have gotten on the board first in all three outings. But the Predators have a deep enough team where they can chip away at a lead, thanks to four productive lines.

The Avalanche hope to continue to use their home ice advantage like they did in Game 3, where they beat the Predators 5-3, to even the series up 2-2. Colorado plays a tough game in front of its home crowd. So expect a similar type of game plan in Game 4.

After Game 3, it feels like there has been a momentum shift. It’s in the Avalanche’s favor now, and that can be dangerous.

The Avalanche have had a quick start in all three games. To slow them down this time around, the Predators will need to keep Colorado’s top line down. That group has been excellent in this series. Left winger Gabriel Landeskog and top center Nathan MacKinnon provide skill, speed and confidence on the ice.
