4. LW Jason Zucker

Zucker is coming off a career-high 33 goals (second on the team) this season, and he was third on the team with 64 points. But the 2010 second-round pick has also been a non-factor in the last two postseasons, with a total of one point, a plus-minus of minus-5 and a total of 28 shot attempts in 10 games.

Zucker was also pretty inconsistent, with 48 of his regular season points coming in four months (November, January, February and March) and 10 of his goals coming in that “Sweet November”. Before scoring twice in the regular season finale against the San Jose Sharks, Zucker had three goals and nine points over the previous 15 games, with six goals over a span stretching back seven more games (two goals in one of those games).

Zucker is young (26), and he’s going to be a restricted free agent this summer. The Wild could just let him go if another team signs him to an offer sheet, or match it with the idea of trading him for something of value in a sign-and-trade deal. Either way if Zucker not regarded as a key piece of a team that can make a deep playoff run, he’s in line to be gone.
