‘No pressure’ in Game 7; Giannis is just happy to be here
By Dave Daniels
Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing with freedom right now, and the Milwaukee Bucks are reaping the benefits.
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is still developing his powers as a superstar. You can see him figuring things out on the fly. He helped his team to a Game 6 win over the Boston Celtics, and he is hopeful that Milwaukee can finish things off in the next match.
“It’s big,” Antetokounmpo said to ESPN. “It’s big for our growth, growing as a team. We were in the same position last year [against the Toronto Raptors], wasn’t able to win Game 6. We have a big opportunity ahead of us. Hopefully we can go to Boston and get ready for Game 7.”
He recorded 31 points, 14 rebounds and four assists in the last game, and the Bucks are confident that trend can continue. They have had a strange year. Firing Jason Kidd in the midst of the season seemed like a foolish move at the time, but if this team moves on in the playoffs then it won’t look so dumb then.
Giannis did an interview recently where he said there was no pressure on him in Game 7, and that should be worrying for the Celtics.
Boston should be feeling an intense amount of fear based on how relaxed he looks in that interview.

In one sense, he is totally right. The Bucks are playing on the road and haven’t reached this point of the playoffs in decades.
On the other hand, you have to take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves. Milwaukee and Boston are both teams that won’t win a championship this season barring a major injury, but this can be a chance for their young players to build confidence in a playoff setting.
My bet would go to the supremely talented guy who feels no pressure.
