7. Zack Martin – Dallas Cowboys

Guard may never be the most glamorous position in the NFL, but they are starting to become more and more valuable. Slowly but surely, the pay (and importance) gap between tackles and guards is starting to erode.

That will make Martin an extremely valuable commodity if he hits the open market. Much of Zeke Elliott’s success in Dallas can be attributed to the Cowboys’ stellar offensive line. Martin is a big part of that group’s ability to move the opposing line off the line of scrimmage.

Martin is another player on this list who is playing out the fifth-year option of his rookie contract. That means he’s only slated to make $9.341 this season. It’s possible Martin can command a salary doubling that amount moving forward.

Remember, Andrew Norwell went from undrafted free agent to $13 million man this offseason. Martin is a better player than the former Panther. He should check in around $15 million per year. The only question is which team is going to give him that contract. The Cowboys may be forced to franchise him to control his cost.
