3. Jarrett Stidham – Auburn

The advantage Stidham carries over every other quarterback in his class is his accuracy. When you watch him on film you see a passer who puts the ball right on the money over and over again. He doesn’t have the biggest arm in college football, but it’s plenty strong enough to project well at the next level.

He checks the boxes in terms of his measurables as well. 6-foot-3 and 214 pounds is right where an NFL quarterback should check in. Stidham isn’t an electric athlete, but he does show some ability to escape the rush in the pocket.

The concerns about Stidham will largely relate to his injury history. He failed to complete his freshman season at Baylor due to a broken ankle. He played through much of last season at Auburn with serious pain in his left shoulder. The pain was so severe that it required offseason surgery that should delay his ability to be a full participant in spring practice.

One of the best things Stidham can show NFL scouts this season is the ability to protect himself and play a full season for Auburn. It’s hard to find fault with his on-field abilities, but availability is a valuable skill in the NFL. If Stidham can make it through this season in one piece, he could easily find himself skyrocketing up the draft charts after his bowl game.
