Reds at Dodgers

Reds Probable Starter – Homer Bailey, RHP

5.61 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 5.19 K/9

Vs LHH – .286 average, .402 wOBA and 34.3 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .231 average, .316 wOBA and 53.3 hard contact rate

The Dodgers could very well be the most popular stack of the night this evening as Bailey has been getting hammered so far this year. To illustrate this, he’s been in single digits on FanDuel his past three starts. Since the Dodgers offense is a little top heavy, I’ll likely stick with the big names here. Cody Bellinger and Yasmani Grandal are in great spots just like they were last night. Yasiel Puig is also really attractive at just $2,500.

Dodger Hitter to Target

Elite Options – Cody Bellinger, Yasiel Puig, Yasmani Grandal, Matt Kemp

Secondary Options – Chris Taylor, Chase Utley

Dodgers Probable Starter – Ross Stripling, RHP

1.93 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 9.41 K/9

Vs LHH – .262 average, .278 wOBA and 22.6 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .265 average, .340 wOBA and 38.9 hard contact rate

Some of these stats need to be taken with a grain of salt because Stripling has done plenty of work out of the bullpen this year. Players pitch differently out of the pen and Stripling is not in play at all unless we get word of how many pitches he can throw. Even then, it’s a total dart in GPP’s. I wouldn’t have any fear playing the Reds hitters tonight but also wouldn’t go totally overboard. I’d side with their best batters like Joey Votto or not much else.

Reds Hitters to Target

Elite Options – Joey Votto, Adam Duvall, Jesse Winker

Secondary Options – Scooter Gennett

Home Run Pick – Yasiel Puig

Sample Lineup

P – Tyson Ross

C/1B – Kurt Suzuki

2B – Ozzie Albies

3B – Alex Bregman

SS – Brandon Crawford

OF – Corey Dickerson, Yasiel Puig, Ryan Braun

Utility – David Dahl

At least at first glance, I’m still siding with Ross as my pitcher. There’s a lot of bats I want to try and fit in so I’ll take the cheapest pitcher I can. We have a couple of Braves and Albies especially is a lefty killer and worth the price. Bregman is on the good side of the splits and Crawford is jut kind of a punt. Puig saves a nice chunk of change to play Dickerson, Braun and Dahl.
