Minnesota Vikings: Does a healthy Dalvin Cook put them over the top?

The Minnesota Vikings had to deal with a lot of adversity this past season, and still found a way to make it to the NFC Championship Game. First, their quarterback, Sam Bradford was just never healthy enough to stay on the field, and they had to make a move to Case Keenum at the position.

Then, their star rookie running back blew out his knee, ending what could have been a Rookie of the Year season for the youngster out of Florida State. Dalvin Cook brings so much to the table, but the Vikings were able to survive without him, and make it further than anyone could have expected.

In 2018, Keenum is now with the Denver Broncos, and Bradford is playing for the Arizona Cardinals. The team went out and made a long-term commitment to Kirk Cousins, who has spent his entire career with the Washington Redskins, who never felt comfortable enough with him to make him their franchise guy.

The bottom line is, Cousins is a very productive signal-caller, and should be even better than Keenum was last season. The Vikings are loaded at the wide receiver group, and having a healthy Cook back behind Cousins, could make them the favorite in a very deep NFC North division this upcoming season.

In 2017, the Green Bay Packers were without Aaron Rodgers, who missed most of the campaign with a broke collar bone. The Detroit Lions are solid, and the Chicago Bears are getting better every season, so the big question is will the return of Cook to an already solid offense put them over the top in 2018.
