PITTSBURGH, PA – SEPTEMBER 20: Domingo Santana #16 of the Milwaukee Brewers rounds the bases after hitting a solo home run in the third inning during the game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park on September 20, 2017 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Justin Berl/Getty Images)

Mets at Brewers

Mets Probable Starter – Zack Wheeler, RHP

5.32 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 23.6 strikeout rate

Vs LHH – .261 average, .347 wOBA, 39.1 fly ball rate and 43.8 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .277 average, .325 wOBA, 30.1 fly ball rate and 22.1 hard contact rate

I think the Brewers are still scoring runs as I tap this. They hung 17 on the Mets yesterday and they could score a bunch again. Wheeler is nothing more than average and the Brewers can be a terror on the base paths as well. I don’t think you have to be horribly picky here but I’d prioritize the lefty hitters more than the righties. Travis Shaw and Christian Yelich might make my core plays as they both had big days yesterday (really, who didn’t?). Domingo Santana also stands out with his hard contact rate is over 40 percent.

Brewers Hitters to Target

Elite Options – Travis Shaw, Christian Yelich, Domingo Santana

Secondary Options -Jonathan Villar, Jesus Aguilar

Brewers Probable Starter – Jhoulys Chacin, RHP

3.32 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 17.3 strikeout rate

Vs LHH – .268 average, .354 wOBA, 30.5 fly ball rate and 36.5 hard contact rate

vs RHH – .188 average, .256 wOBA, 41.7 fly ball rate and 41.4 hard contact rate

This is low-key a bad spot for Chacin because there are some good lefties in the Mets lineup. My favorite would be Brandon Nimmo who tears up righty pitching with a wOBA over .450 this season. He’s also a lefty which is the spot we want to chase. Michael Conforto and Jay Bruce also profile relatively well, for different reasons. Conforto actually is showing a bit of life and Bruce is just cheap. I’m not playing Chacin and I’m also not playing right handed Mets against him.

Mets Hitters to Target

Elite Options – Michale Conforto, Brandon Nimmo

Secondary Options – Jay Bruce

Home Run Pick – Domingo Santana

NEW YORK, NY – OCTOBER 18: Greg Bird #33 of the New York Yankees hits a single during the second inning scoring Starlin Castro #14 against the Houston Astros in Game Five of the American League Championship Series at Yankee Stadium on October 18, 2017 in the Bronx borough of New York City. Sample Lineup

P – Stephen Strasburg

C/1B – Mitch Moreland

2B – Dustin Pedroia

3B – Travis Shaw

SS – Tim Anderson

OF – Christian Yelich, Domingo Santana, Marcell Ozuna

Utility – Greg Bird

I’m going back to the well with Nationals pitching today against Miami. It’s bound to work one of these times and I want to save the salary versus Sale and Cole. I will get some Red Sox love with Moreland and Pedroia who are both solid values at their price. Anderson is probably the chalkiest player in the lineup if I had to guess. Ozuna has been heating up and Taillon isn’t scary right now. I’ll punt with Greg Bird towards the middle of the Yankees lineup and then we have a three man stack with the Brewers going as well.

The Core – Christian Yelich, Tim Anderson, Mitch Moreland

Stacks To Consider – Red Sox (vs. Atlanta), Yankees (vs. Angels), Cardinals (at Pittsburgh) and Brewers (vs, New York Mets)
