4. Patrick Kane’s trip to Niagara Falls

After a very impressive 2010 Stanley Cup run by Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane, he celebrated his day with the Cup under one of the natural wonders of the world, Niagara Falls.

Kane, who hails from Buffalo, New York, grew up a stone’s throw away from the falls so it was only right that he was the first ever to visit the location with the Stanley Cup. As you can see in the picture, he has his own lookout deck underneath the American falls.

Kane’s trip would not be complete without some Buffalo delicacies, as well. He is pictured above dipping famous Buffalo wings into blue cheese sauce in the bowl of the Cup, as well as brightening the days of some sick children.

Kane was then given a Key to the city of Niagara Falls, which I used to think meant that he was granted access to any store, facility, home or other building in the city. In my teenage years, I learned that these are more of a symbol than anything else.

Kane had 10 goals and 18 assists in the 2010 playoff run, including the Stanley Cup-winning goal in overtime of Game 6 in just his third year in the league.
