Cincinnati Bengals — Tyrod Taylor

At a certain point the Bengals have to realize Dalton isn’t the answer and it’s time to move on. It’s not that Taylor would be significantly better than Dalton; that’s not the point. This scenario hinges on the Bengals going into a rebuild with a new coach and quarterback.

Draft one and bring in a cheaper veteran to either back him up or hold his spot. Taylor isn’t long for this world in Cleveland even if he’s the best quarterback on the roster, but he’s also already 33 years old. How many more opportunities is he going to get to be “the guy?”

This may be the closest he can get, and it’s a worthy risk for Cincy who can remain respectable while they get a young quarterback ready.

This team simply isn’t ready to compete with the top teams in the AFC North and may even be behind the Browns by the end of the season in terms of overall talent. It’s time to hit reset.
