Dallas Cowboys — Martavis Bryant
Another head case at receiver for the Cowboys? Yes, because Jerry Jones is still Jerry Jones and Dallas has over $44 million in cape space to play with next offseason. Michael Gallup may become a star, but he also probably won’t. That’s just playing the odds, not a shot at Gallup who I think can be a good player.
This speaks more the bare cupboard in Dallas than anything else. Jason Witten retires. Dez cut. Terrance Williams on the outs. Who is going to be a part of this passing game? The Cowboys have to pay Zach Martin as well, which will cost them a pretty penny, so they’ll have to hunt for more affordable options at receiver.
Bryant, despite some issues with coaches in Pittsburgh, possesses supreme physical tools with the ability to get deep and create big plays. He’s basically a much better version of what Terrance Williams was supposed to be.
The Cowboys should probably just go all in with young receivers and keep loading up through the draft as Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott improve, but this is Jerry Jones we’re talking about. He’s going to keep his foot on the gas.
