Denver Broncos — Duke Johnson

This is one of my favorite fits on this list. Denver showed C.J. Anderson the door, then drafted Oregon back Royce Freeman to play with Devontae Booker, but the one thing the Broncos lack in the backfield is a pass-catching back.

With the outstanding talent at receiver, the way this offense can really put teams in a bind is utilizing a running back like Duke Johnson who can beat linebackers and safeties in the passing game. He’s also a much needed boost of speed in the backfield.

Imagine coming to Denver, playing a mile high, and having to chase around a speedy back like Johnson all afternoon. By the end of the game is a linebacker really going to have the legs to go take down Booker or Freeman at their size?

Denver can clear space to make some even bigger splashes if it wants to, but this roster has talent on it. John Elway needs to give Case Keenum every chance to succeed because that contract will be on the books for at least through 2019.
