7. James Neal

Another player from Vegas makes the list, as James Neal will hit the market assuming Vegas doesn’t sign him back before July 1. This season, Neal had 25 goals and 44 points for Vegas. He has scored 20 or more goals in every season he’s been in the league so there will be suitors lining up for his services once he hits the market.

Neal is a good top-six winger and can score a lot of goals for a team that signs him. He also plays well in the playoffs for the most part as he has 31 goals and 55 points in 100 career playoff games. Teams are always looking to improve their top six and Neal would be a nice addition for any team that needs more scoring and more depth in their lineup.

He is entering his thirties now so teams shouldn’t want to sign him for seven or eight years. A four-year-deal here would be just fine as it just takes him to his mid-thirties and that’s when goal scorers numbers typically begin to go down a bit.
