8. David Perron

David Perron will be hitting the free agent market this season as he’s coming off the best statistical season of his career points-wise. He put up 16 goals and 66 points, the 66 points being a career best. He could be in line to get a nice contract from a team, but it’s worth pointing out that Perron can be a very streaky player. In the playoffs for the Vegas Golden Knights, he had just one goal in 15 playoff games, and at times, he was scratched because he wasn’t scoring. He was one of their points leaders during the regular season and he got scratched in the playoffs.

In the playoffs overall, he has just four goals in 57 career playoff games. He’s struggled at times to fit in with different teams so this is a player that teams should be cautious about despite having a very good year. He’s not a player teams should give a lot of term to and money to as well as it could backfire.

Perron is a good depth player that can step up and play some top-six minutes when needed if a player is injured.
