3. Danny Green

After a bit of a breakthrough in 2014-15 (11.7 points per game; 80 starts), Green has trended downward over the last three seasons. But he is still a good three-point shooter (36.3 percent last year), and even with an upward spike in attempts from beyond the arc last season (33 per game; third in the league) the Raptors were only 18th in three-point percentage (35.8 percent).

Green has started at least 60 games in five of the last six seasons, so he could be considered the front runner to replace DeRozan as the Raptors’ starter alongside Kyle Lowry. There will (at least theoretically) be less competition for touches and shots in Toronto, which is good for Green as he plays out his $10 million player option with an eye on free agency next summer.

If he’s playing well in whatever role he’s in and the Raptors are somehow going the wrong way fast, Green would be an obvious candidate to be moved at the trade deadline. As a solid three-point marksman, he’d have value and impact on any team with legit championship aspirations.

Having to leave San Antonio for what looks like a slightly less stable situation in Toronto would not be a great development for most players. But it just might work perfectly for Green, all things considered.
