6. Alex Hiam’s jaw-dropping BMX Park Best Trick gold medal-winning trick

The X Games Best Trick competition is aptly named after one of the best riders to ever grace a bicycle, Dave Mirra. Riders come from all over the world to try their best to live up to the legacy that Mirra and other legends have set. One young rider from Brisbane, Australia, lived up to the expectation with one of the most outrageous tricks you will ever see in a BMX Best Trick competition.

The BMX best trick competition is a fan favorite because the athletes are willing to take higher risks to achieve the gold and the glory. Hiam doesn’t hold back when the limelight shines the brightest, and in the 2018 X Games, he went out there are pulled out an amazing toejam tailwhip on top of the plexiglass box.

The trick involves floating up like he was the weight of a feather and simply stalling while balancing on the front tire of his bike. Being able to stay balanced while spinning the entire bike 360 degrees before unmounting and riding away is no small feat.

The crowd went wild and Hiam rode away with his first X Games medal, shiny gold no less. The future in this sport is wide open for this X Games rookie after this debut performance.
