1. Christian Kirk, Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are going through some major changes which include a shake up at the wide receiver position. John Brown and Jaron Brown have both moved on with Larry Fitzgerald as the main holdover.

Arizona is also going through changes at quarterback with Sam Bradford expected to take over for Carson Palmer. Rookie Josh Rosen also figures into the quarterback mix based on Bradford’s lengthy injury history.

These changes means there are opportunities for others to claim a role. Rookie Christian Kirk is one of those players looking to make an early impact.

Kirk was selected in the second round, but should see some early action. He is a strong route runner who knows how to locate openings in the defense. This is someone who projects to mainly work out of the slot.

However, he has enough toughness in his smaller frame to work on the outside. His speed will make him a deep threat and some capable of taking the top off a defense.

His main competition for targets is Chad Williams, J.J. Nelson and Brice Butler. All three have some level of experience in the league. However, neither has established themselves as anything more than complementary pieces.

The Fantasy Pros project Kirk to finish with around 34 receptions, 420 yards and two touchdowns. This seems like a conservative outlook as Kirk could easily provide more production.
