4. Arizona Coyotes vs. Vegas Golden Knights: Dec. 30, 2018

Another very important contest to finish off the year for the Coyotes. By this time, the tone of the season will be set. This game will mean one of three things as a result: Arizona needs a win to stay toward the top, it needs some points to push for the postseason or it’s trying to set things right for the next calendar year.

Regardless, Arizona will need the points from this one. The Coyotes play four Western Conference teams before this game. This includes the California swing on the road, hosting the Colorado Avalanche before that and then, finally, the Vegas game.

Arizona won’t just be ending the year with this game, but the chance for points within its conference. The results of the contests prior to this one will serve even more importance to ending the stretch and the year off on the right note.

What helps is that Arizona will host Vegas at Gila River Arena. On the flip side of the coin, Arizona will be playing just a night after another Ducks contest in Anaheim.
