1. Arizona Coyotes vs. Los Angeles Kings: April 2, 2019

It’s very rare that teams are fighting for the playoffs until the very last minute, especially in the Western Conference where teams tend to break into the high 90 point range for a wild card spot.

That means that the contests leading up to the final game will be worth watching, if the Coyotes are in a winning spot. Hockey tends to cool off in the beginning of April because a lot of teams know where they will end their campaign.

If Arizona is a team in a playoff spot or in the hunt, it will need all three regular season games in April to even consider the postseason; no questions asked.

The date with the Kings will be an intra-division match against a team that has relied on the last two postseason spots for a long time. It could be Arizona fighting for it, or it could be the Kings. Either way, this game has to be one to look out for if you’re an Arizona fan.

Next. Shane Doan will forever be remembered at Gila River Arena. dark

Win this one and build some momentum for the final two against the Vegas Golden Knights and the Winnipeg Jets. From there, it very well could be playoff hockey in the desert.
