Drew Lock was born to play quarterback at Missouri, and after a high school career at Lee’s Summit (MO) High School that saw him become a top-10 quarterback in the country, he signed within his home state. It did not take Lock long to get under center with the Tigers, as he started the last eight games of his freshman season, gaining great experience along the way.

In 2016, he began the season as the starter, and it is a position he has never relinquished since. Lock led the SEC in passing yards during his sophomore campaign, throwing for nearly 3,400 yards, which included a monster game against Eastern Michigan that saw him throw for 450 yards and five touchdowns.

Last season, Lock continued his assault on SEC defenses, as he was a touchdown pass machine for the Tigers in year three. The 6-foot-4 signal-caller led the entire FBS with 44 touchdown passes, which broke the single-season record in the SEC. For his efforts, he was named a first-team quarterback within the conference.

The Tigers finished with a 7-5 record last season, and that is a mark they hope to improve on in 2018. Lock has improved in every statistical category from year to year, and after breaking the SEC mark for touchdown passes last season, it will be interesting to see what kind of tricks he has up his sleeve this Fall.

Lock is going to be an early first round draft pick next April, as he has the arm, and size to be an NFL quarterback. Missouri is not expected to make much noise in the SEC this season, but one thing is for sure, Lock is going to be throwing the ball up and down the field all season long.
