Atlanta Falcons – Deion Sanders

The Atlanta Falcons franchise began back in 1966, when Pete Rozelle won the war with the AFL, when he forced the city to choose between the NFL and AFL. The Falcons struggled early on, and it was not until 1978 that they actually made the playoffs for the first time.

They would win their first NFC West title in 1980, though it would not be until 1998 that they would actually appear in a Super Bowl. The Falcons have made it back to the big game only once since, two years ago, where they blew a huge lead to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI.

During the early 1990s, the Atlanta Falcons made the move to an all-black jersey. During that time, the roster was dotted with electric players like Andre Rison and Deion Sanders, both of whom backed up their trash-talking, with splashy play on the field.

When it comes to throwback jerseys for the Falcons, this one has to be the must-have for fans, as it depicts a new era of Falcons football. Early on, red was the dominant color on the jersey, and as time went on, they added more and more black, until finally, the black took over.

The Falcons are one of the best teams in the NFC heading into the 2018 NFL season, and should challenge for a spot in their second Super Bowl in the last three years. They may not have Sanders tormenting wide receivers anymore, but they certainly have enough talent to possibly bring the Falcons their first Super Bowl title.
