Running Back: Todd Gurley, Los Angeles Rams

vs. Arizona Cardinals, Sunday 4:05 p.m.

FanDuel Cost: $8,900

Gurley was his dominant self Monday night against the Oakland Raiders. He did what he always does by contributing as both a runner and pass catcher. Gurley’s 100-yard performance was one of only three produced by a running back in Week 1.

The Chargers’ Week 2 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals offers a very favorable matchup. Los Angeles should be able to move the ball with ease.

Arizona really struggled to stop the Washington Redskins rushing attack which was led by Adrian Peterson. There’s no reason to bet against Gurley who already looks to be in mid-season form this early in the  year.

Running Back: Adrian Peterson, Washington Redskins

vs. Indianapolis Colts, Sunday 1:00 p.m.

FanDuel Cost: $6,700

Peterson looked spry in his Redskins debut against the Arizona Cardinals. He ran hard and showed that he’s still a threat as a pass catcher. The Redskins really don’t have any other options at the position so Peterson should continue to get a heavy workload.

This week’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts should provide Peterson an other opportunity to put up good numbers. Joe Mixon had plenty of open space this past week against the Colts.

Backup Option: Melvin Gordon, Los Angeles Chargers

@ Buffalo Bills, Sunday 1:00 p.m.

FanDuel Cost: $8,200

Gordon would be a good option over Gurley should you need to save some salary space. He had a great first week of the season and remains a major part of the Chargers offensive attack. The Chargers offense really looks strong and should be able to keep Gordon’s fantasy numbers up.
