FanDuel NFL 2018: Week 3 lineup
Wide Receivers: Stefon Diggs, Minnesota Vikings- $8,300; Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs- $8,200, T. Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts- $7,500
This week’s lineup is spending big money at the wide receiver position and the three players listed above have extremely favorable matchups.
The Minnesota Vikings return home for Week 3 after last week’s exhilarating tie against the Green Bay Packers. Diggs, played an instrumental role in helping the Vikings comeback against their rivals. He scored two fourth quarter touchdowns, including a 75-yard touchdown and caught the two-point conversion to tie the game.
Diggs finished the afternoon with nine receptions for 128 yards and two scores. He scored the most fantasy points at the position. His upcoming matchup against the Buffalo Bills screams for a similar performance. Buffalo has allowed 90.5 FanDuel fantasy points to wide receivers, third most in the league.
It also helps that Diggs’ quarterback, Kirk Cousins, has completed nearly 79% of his passes for 319 yards and four touchdowns against the Bills.
The emergence of Patrick Mahomes has made Hill even more explosive and valuable. Through two weeks, Hill has compiled 259 yards and three touchdowns. He has the third most receiving yards in the NFL and is averaging 21.6 yards per reception.
Hill is a big play waiting to happen. He currently leads the league with seven receptions over 20+ yards. The Chiefs take on the 49ers, who have allowed 415 receiving yards and three touchdowns to receivers through two games.
The Eagles’ secondary unit looks terrible through two weeks and that’s why Hilton should be in your lineup. Last week, the Eagles allowed two passing touchdowns for 75 yards. They have allowed 618 yards through the air, 28th in the NFL and quarterbacks are averaging nearly nine yards per attempt.
Hilton has scored touchdowns in back-to-back games for the first time since 2016. In both contests, Hilton had be targeted 11 times. Although he is a deep ball threat, both of his touchdowns in 2018 are within the red zone.
The 28-year old wide receiver is dealing with a a quad injury, but claims there is nothing to worry about. Hilton will likely to play, but make sure you check the injury report before locking him in.
